Welcome to RAG!
We organise hundreds of events throughout the year, and ensure that anyone who wishes to fundraise has all the support they need. Last academic year, RAG helped Manchester students raise an astonishing £330,000 pounds for charity. It’s a ridiculous sum of money really, which is apt given some of the ridiculous things our members do in the name of charity. They hitchhike across the globe, dive with sharks, jump out of planes, work at the best UK music festivals, cycle to Paris, teach in Vietnam, run marathons, and even climb Everest and Kilimanjaro. We spend our time in between all this at beer festivals, film screenings, club nights, food festivals, pub quizzes, street collections, fashion shows, casino nights, and dozens of other events our members organise.Beaming through your computer screen this instant is an introduction into one of the most diverse and energetic groups of students in the city, who will not only give you a taste of what Manchester has to offer but also give you opportunities to travel the globe, all while raising money for so many worthwhile charities. Manchester RAG are the official fundraising arm of the Student’s Union, and we are here to show you that raising money for charity can be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of student life.
Whether you want to take part in any of our expeditions, volunteer to help out, attend any of our events, or even join us in creating new and exciting ways to engage students in fundraising, RAG needs to be on your radar. Be sure to sign up to our mailing list (divert your attention to the little box on the right) and keep your eyes on our facebook group for updated information on everything we’ve got going on.
